A picnic basket. A pair of sturdy boots. A perfectly cut coat.

Most people would imagine a countryside escape as a chance to leave the city behind. Louis Vuitton, naturally, sees it as another opportunity to travel in style.

For its Fall 2027 Men’s Capsule, Pharrell Williams takes the House into the English countryside, imagining a world where open fields, outdoor gatherings and refined dressing exist side by side. The collection offers an early glimpse into the creative direction ahead of Spring/Summer 2027, blending Louis Vuitton’s long history of travel with a quieter, more grounded approach to modern menswear.

The idea is charmingly simple: what would a luxury wardrobe look like for a weekend away?

The answer comes through a mix of tailored coats, weather-ready outerwear, elevated workwear and travel pieces that feel designed for movement. Not because anyone is truly heading into the countryside dressed entirely in cashmere and Monogram, but because luxury has always been about creating a world you want to step into.

The collection’s palette sets the mood immediately. Misty greys, softened blues, forest greens and earthy olive tones mirror cloudy skies, woodland paths and the faded beauty of outdoor landscapes. Rather than relying on loud statements, the pieces draw attention through texture, layering and the kind of details that reveal themselves slowly.

Sharp flannels sit alongside padded nylon liners, structured knits and wool overcoats, creating a wardrobe that moves comfortably between city life and countryside fantasy. A reversible double-face wool, cashmere and silk jacquard jacket reveals an all-over Monogram Heritage pattern on one side, while offering a more understated interpretation when reversed.

Even the workwear-inspired pieces carry a sense of refinement. Chinos arrive with buttoned turn-up cuffs or cargo pockets, bombers are reimagined in cotton wool knit and printed fleece, while a mink fur gilet transforms the iconic Damier check into a gradient intarsia design.

The Monogram, too, takes a quieter role.

Rather than appearing as an instant statement, it is aged, softened and woven into the collection in unexpected ways. It appears as subtle Nanogram detailing on silk linings, embossed finishes, tone-on-tone jacquards and even within hand-drawn landscape prints. The House code feels less like decoration and more like a familiar signature hidden in plain sight.

Naturally, the travel story continues through the accessories.

The standout Picnic Keepall 45 transforms the classic Louis Vuitton silhouette into a basket-woven trompe l’oeil design, complete with an apple-shaped leather luggage tag that brings the countryside theme to life. The new LV Louis Bear charm adds another playful touch, arriving with its own miniature Monogram canvas-lined picnic basket.

The Transversal Monogram Surplus line continues the journey through familiar Louis Vuitton travel icons, including the Speedy 30, Keepall 50, Jet Lag Bag, Steamer, Horizon 55 and Christopher East West, reworked in olive and brown cotton jacquard with leather details.

Footwear follows the same balance between practicality and polish. The LV City Ranger appears in both combat boot and derby variations, finished with Monogram embossed leather ankle collars and Flower-shaped lacing hooks. The LV Remix Ranger Boot takes a more rugged approach with its heavy-duty rubber lug outsole, while the skate-inspired LV Tilted returns in a Monogram Flower gingham upper. The vintage basketball-inspired LV Trainer rounds out the collection in rich suede, leather and Transversal Monogram Surplus canvas.

What makes this capsule interesting is not simply the idea of dressing for the outdoors. It is the way Pharrell continues to reinterpret Louis Vuitton’s codes without treating them as something frozen in time.

The Monogram travels. The tailoring relaxes. The idea of luxury expands beyond formal occasions and into the everyday moments in between.

After all, Louis Vuitton has always been a house built around journeys. This time, the destination just happens to come with a picnic basket, a beautiful coat and a countryside view.

The Louis Vuitton Fall 2027 Men’s Capsule is slated for release this September at select Louis Vuitton stores and online.
